What precautions should be taken when it comes to tanning during severe weather. Is there a rule of thumb? What do you tell clients? Could it be dangerous?
Thanks, I just want to know what to tell my staff. _________________ It's All Good![ This Message was edited by: PHriend on 2005-04-23 22:50 ] |

I was once tanning durring a lightning storm and the power went out. It was kind of weird. Some lady in the room next to me started to freak out because it was dark LOL. Nothing happened though, we just all got out and they took our names and crediied back those minutes.

The danger to your computer from storms is greater than that to your clients in the bed.
Everyone should have a heavy duty UPS with filtering and suppression for their computer. Don't skimp on this. Don't forget to run the DSL/phone line through the UPS. |

I was wondering about this also. If it's lightning real bad I usually don't tan anyone. I wait until in passes. I feel it is better for both us safety wise. I would hate for the lights to go out and someone get hurt in the dark.

I know everyone says that there's no danger tanning during a thunder/lightening storm, and I'm sure since the beds are grounded that's true...but it's just the whole concept that seems a bit off to me. I mean who in their right mind thinks "it's storming out, I'm going to go lay in a 10,000 watt box of electricity for a while" ?????? It's storming pretty badly here right now, and I have all 9 of my mega beds running?!?!?!?!?!?!?
