I am needing to add more AC however I have no more room in my ceiling. I am looking at the split ac units. ANyone have experience with these in your salon?

You can look at a package unit which has everything but the ducts on the roof. A split unit has the a/c compressor outside and the ducts, coil, and blowers inside. In either your going to have to run the ducts on the inside, if not in the ceiling, you can do an exposed duct system. That is what you see in the restaurants, wnere you see all th tubing.

The last unit I had installed has the exposed duct work. Not the best look but we painted it the same as our rooms and it blends in okay. I have 4 separate AC units and we are forever adjusting the balance. It is a pain but works OK.

i believe you are talking about mini split a/c ... that is all the a/c i have in my salon and they work great. i have 1 in every room 2 tons each!! they are self regulating each has its own remote control with its own thermostat and very nice . quiet and efficient and i can run just the rooms i want to run. i have 10 compressors lined up on the roof. i would not have done it any other way
