Busy season is upon us. Is your staff trained and ready? Now is time to be ready if not it's best you take a day long meeting and make them ready. You are losing more than you would think. By not having a highly trained and motivated staff. Good Luck

We just had a day long training on lotions and new bonus structures to get them motivatede! It is amazing how the lotion sales go up after a training class!

It's amazing is it not. What some time and training can do. It is vital, crucial and KEY.

How many training classes do you have a year?

We take the staff to as many as we can. And do our in house training at least once a month. It may not be all training. It may be updates or issues that must resolved. It may also be things that need improving. At least once a month or every other week. Just one day.

all our staff is still with us from last season, so we just had a refresher class to go over new lotions and the new memberships.

I have been working basically open to close m-f for the last 2-3 almost 4 weeks....training and remotivating the staff.
And getting caught up from last fall. -- On Super cleaning, changing lamps, breaking beds down. ( as and attempt to here their sales pitch and step in when and if needed.) After the forst week...In thier checks I offer notes on their good and bad points of what I seen and heard and let then know about teh meeting last night. Now this week still cleaning and working all day I see major improvement is sales tactics. And sales...so at the meeting I introduced the new incentives they are geeked.

On two of the Newbies I put the cleaning a side thruough-out the shift and and let them watch how it is done. One is respnding well and now branching off into her one speil..and closing most Deals. The other may no make it.

Now is teh time to get them ready..and your salons. Funny this season is either picking up alot sooner then i thought it would or my presence is making the difference because it is been great people and ching wise so far in 2005.

We completed our training at last month"s meeting. I purchased the Cal Tan Training workbooks and got the DS CD for free. The girls read the workbook and answered the questions. We all watched the videos together and we ran through role playing. I made them take the final Cal Tan test and they all passed. I ordered the Cal Tan Certified pins, and they all got theirs. This past weekend was the best sales they had. Can"t wait to see how they do this weekend.

I also challeneged them last weekend. If they reached a certain sales goal for the day, we gave them three free VHR"s sessions. This weekend, I challenged them to sign up at least 2 tanners for our membership. If they did, they can pick out any tanning t-shirt for free. Well, I got a phone call an hour ago. Our employee asked if she should start browsing the catalouge. Bribes work better than money for our girls.

I wish my boss would make goals for us.. Have training classes for us...but no that would NEVER happen
