I am new to the tanning business. Opened salon in January of 2004, I have learned a LOT! An opportunity has come up to open a salon on campus and I am very interested, but I would like to hear from the older and wiser salon owners. I realize there will be virtually nobody on Spring,Christmas Breaks and summer. There are 2 salons within a mile that have been there for years. I visited them and they have old equipment and not very clean. The campus has 25,000 students and is downtown and everybody walks everywhere. Rent is reasonable and build-out is enough to get the salon like I want. So tell me the good and bad of opening this salon. Thanks, Anne |
