Really??? I get a few here and there but haven't really noticed any more than normal. Although our local news here did two reports this week on the negative effects of tanning outdoor and using an indoor tanning facility.

Last year we were going to kick the B up on all the 20 min. beds and found out real quick that alot of people didn't want it. We had already done 2 beds, so now we run half with the easier lamps and half the beds with the higher b lamps. Keeps everyone happy. We try to keep one of each new and one with older lamps, that way if you are just starting or are seasoned, we're ready.

i am noticing that my clients like to burn. All of the surrounding salons have those burning lamps, in which i do not!! Well i think it is working against me.....even with trying to educate the clients...seems that they DO NOT CARE they want to see BURN when they leave and that is that!!I am gettting very frusterated..i know my lamps are the best around but try to convince the client that just because your your not RED walking out of here does not mean that you did NOT get anything.

Same thing here Coconut. I've had people ask if I have older lamps and I usually just keep one bed on the older side. I asked why and their response is always that they never get red here like they do at other salons. Are you getting tan? I ask. Oh yes, just not red. Duh, bronzing lamps get you brown, not red.
Why get red for a day and then have nothing, when you could actually get tan! |

I always thought that your bread and butter came from having fresh lamps...hard core tanners can tell the difference right away....we keep 2 of our beds with new bulbs aways...and for first time tanners we have a couple of others that we start them out with...and remember lotions..lotions..lotions...Chad(China Beach Tanning)
