I have run out of ideas of how to fix this tanline problem. I was in Miami in March and while I was there, a friend of mine did a bad job putting sunscreen on my right arm, so now there are hand outlines towards the shoulder because I burned and then tanned around the places that had sunscreen..

After the trip, in hopes of fixing this and evening it out, I started to tan at a salon(this was my first times tanning) and now, all that seems to be happening is the hand prints are getting darker at the shoulder wihle the rest of me is not catching up. I've been tanning about 3 times a week for about 5 or 6 weeks.

Now the reason why this is a problem is because my mother is getting married in three weeks and I am supposed to be in the wedding and I'd feel really silly wearing my thinly strapped dress with this terrible tan problem on my shoulder.

So if anyone could give me any sort of recommendation on how to fix this by making it more even or at LEAST less noticable, that would be great! My friends and I have run out of good ideas...

Any help is very very very appreciatd!

Thanks!
SillyTan

PS
I hope this isn't the wrong forum.. I'm sorry in advance if it is! I just need some sort of direction anyway

Any tan should fade out in less than 3 weeks, You might just lay off anything for a week or so and exfoliate that area. Then tan a few times, or try the airbrushing after you have evened out.

I agree...............try getting airbrushed just on the whitter areas. A good airbrush tech can make you look even. Time is the best thing in the long run though. Good luck!

How long does an airbrushed tanning work for? Because my mother is getting married in sweden and I am going there 5 days before the wedding and I really don't have time to try to find an airbrushing person there.

Also, my tans never seem to fade in about 3 weeks.. it sucks! [ This Message was edited by: SillyTan on 2004-05-11 18:27 ]

Some people say the spraytans last for 10 or more days, but I havn't seen any signs of it. If I was you, I would give up on being tan for the wedding, unless you find a salon in sweden, which may not be alot of trouble, because most of this tanning stuff originated in europe. Even if your regular tan dosn't fade, then the dha tan that your friend applied, should fade. At least then you'd be even and could start over with a professional application.

I have been using Clinique Sunless tanning cream just for that reason an it has really helped me in ways you would not believe.It also gives my tan this glossy shiny look an adds touch to it.So I would recommend going to a high end store like Profitts is where i go an ask the lady which one would be best for you.B/c they have some for dark tans or medium tans.So you can just choose one depending on how tan you already are.Good Luck girl! Hope this helps

Sillytan;
Yes, a spray tan will fix your problem. Do what has already been suggested. Exfoliate like crazy then find a good airbrush tanning tech.

There are sunless tanning places in Sweden...contact Luke Ray @ Scanditan scanditan@scanditan.se
or get a sunless tan before you go and then use a sunless tanning lotion or mousse
