I have a Star Power Bed, speed 255R, wolff model, and it is not tanning as it should. The bulbs we have are spd 71 - t12 - 255R Bi-PIN if that helps anyone.
This bed honestly does not do a good job at all, i'm assuming it is the bulbs we have since the bulbs are only 300-400 hours old, yet even when they were only 200 hours old the bed still did not tan effectively for the 12 minute timer on the bed. If someone could please recommend a medium cost, tan effective bulb that we could replace these with, that would be great since at the time the seller assured us these were good bulbs for this bed, they obviously aren't. I'm looking through the posts on this forum as i speak, and just am not sure still as to what we should buy to get this bed to the efficiency it should be at. PJ |

COSMEDICO: Cosmolux ESP, Hi-Tan/ Wolf: Velocity..... Unless it is VHR compatible..... Then obviously you use VHR lamps!!

Tanning beds require a voltage of 215-230 to operate effectively. most 220 circuits are either 208 or 247 out of the wall..and fluctuate throughout the day due to power usage. Too low..the beds will light up but the beds won't tan. Too high..The components will be overloaded and burn out.. how old is the acrylic? is it dirty?are the lamps dirty?is the bed operating at too high of a temp? ALL of these things will affect bed performance. if the voltage is the culprit get a buckbooster...a much lower cost than any relamp..If you know all this I don't mean to insult your intelligence. |

Actually I know we had a problem with the bed at first, something with them installing some half *** handle on the bed off of a standup, and some other ridiculous problems, I was not here at the past time, but I heard we had a ton of problems on the bed, and it was new as far as i knew. I will find out though. I have been looking around, and it seems that the midday sun lamps are the best to go for reliability, and longevity? thanks again.
