I just opened on February 20, 2004. So far so good. First time owning a tanning salon but I've gone to them for years. I'm curious about bulbs tho. I've been reading as much as possible about them. The ones I have that came with the beds are ok. Clients dont complain but I know there are better bulbs out there. So I've been readin this forum for the past month now. I read alot of discussion about Black Sun just curious for everyones views on their bulbs. Also my high pressure bed and booth currently have cosmedico vhr 160's in them. I've never really seen any other bulb put in these in my area. Is there a better bulb for about the same price as the cosmedico's to replace. Thanks for the info and sorry for the novel.

i agree with jkonturasn cosmedico in my own opinion is the best that i have used in my 8 yrs in the business. it is well worth the the small extra price for the results and the happy customers you will have.

i'm happy with the cosmedico's in my high pressures just curious if there was anything better. as for my other beds they take bellarium s but the manufacturer put real sun xxx in them. I'm sure there are much better bulbs than that and was curious more on those beds than the high pressure. whatever bulbs I replace my 20 minute beds with has to be compatible with Bellarium S tho so any info on bulbs for those beds I'd really appreciate

nativetan,
the cosmolux vhr tt and the 9k90 are excellent replacements for your vhr's. the vhrtt is about 10% stronger and you see almost instant results although it's more reddining. the 9k90 is more of a bronzing lamp with more uva. both of these lamps kick butt. a good choice for replacing your bellariums are the beach sun by light source. greg |

Cosmolux is premium brand name. Their newest VHR is the 9K90 - definitely high-end. Light Sources has introduced a version of the 9K90 called the VSS/HP. The Beach Sun is a Light Sources Aurora Series lamp. Again, high-end. (The Black Sun lamp is manufactured by Light Sources.) Just so you know, there are probably more lamps compatible to the Wolff Bellarium S than to any other lamp, so you have lots of choices in that area. I truly believe that you get the best lamp when you purchase your bed. When I relamp I use the same kind of lamp that came in the bed. Why waste time shopping around when you get the best when you purchase the bed. Use the same and you will get the life of the bed and the lamp.
