Hey all,
My sister just started tanning a few weeks ago. She has type 3 skin as do I, but is currently only at 6 minute sessions. She was having good results, until just the other day she tanned 2 days in a row. She now has a bunch of small freckle sized red dots on the mid part of the fronts of her lower legs. It's not a burn, but I was wondering if it could be a form of a heat rash from over-exposure or something? Any info would be most appreciated:)

Off hand she probably went just a little too fast ,when that happens to our tanners ,if they back off for 2-3 days & then cut back on the tan time they are fine.

If the "bumps" disappeared after cutting back on exposure, then it is probably a reaction. If not, it could be the type of lotion either clogging pores or irritating her skin.

I would say heat rash. They should not tan every day. We had a couple of cases like this. It goes away when they cut back.
