Florida Salon Owner Named To State Advisory Council

Officials from the National Republican Congressional Committee announce that Christine Berk-Carlton of Lake Mary, Fla., has been appointed to serve on the Business Advisory Council in recognition of valuable contributions and dedication to the Republican Party.

She is president and director of Transformations Tanning and Skin Care Studio in Lake Mary.

The Business Advisory Council is part of the National Republican Congressional Committee and is dedicated to making sure that small business has a voice in Washington. Berk-Carlton will serve the state of Florida and is expected to play a crucial role in the party's efforts to involve top businesspeople in the process of government reform.

Berk-Carlton received a National Leadership Award as part of her appointment, and her name will be mentioned in national media campaigns, which will include full-page advertisements in The Wall Street Journal and USA Today. She also was named to the 2003-2004 edition of National Register's Who's Who In Executives and Professionals.
