Hey...just wondering what is the best towel brand or company? What is the best color for towels and what is the best "thickness"?Also, what is the best detergent to wash them with? The towels at my salon started off as a hunter green color and they eventually fade to a gross brown color!! Yikes! I am not staying with the hunter green color...that was the color that was there when I bought the place. So I'm up to any towel color that will last and look good. The towels are soo bad that they shread up...so we use the icky ones for cleaning the beds, not for the customers. I would appreciate any info...as you can tell, it's time to buy new towels!!

I purchased white. Your customers can visually see that they are clean. I clean with surf and bleach. When a towel is too stained or too worn out it goes for salon clean up rags.

I use white from Walmart. They are about $1.25 each. Not too thick. They dry quicker that way. Also,I feel like thinner gets cleaner. I started buying white washclothes in packages of 18/$5 for cleaning beds. It keeps the bed towels from getting frayed as fast.
I wash them in detergent and oxyclean. I let the last load of the day soak with lots of oxyclean overnight. When they get too old, I also use them to clean. I also keep a bag of them in my trunk for the car wash.

I buy my 'white' towels from Boss Beauty Supply. Get a doz. for $8. They are pretty good quality, not to thick and not to thin. I wash with cheaper detergents and lots of bleach. When the towels get stained or to frayed I use them for other cleaning tasks at the salon. Heck I even supply my husbands shop with them on occasion.

They have a web site as well. I think. Let me check.

I have white towels also...unfortunately do not remember where I purchased them...I bought so many that I have not run out yet....I use WindFresh detergent from Sam's Club (40 lb bucket..160 washloads~for under $10.00)...and use bleach (in every load).

I remember where I got them now~Westpoint Stevens Outlet Store~I think they were around $1.00 per towel..but it seems that looking at the rest of your prices I am not getting a good deal at all...I think I will be using that # Mitzi that you have for my next order of towels before the season arrives! Thanks for the info....
