Has anybody found a money making venture not linked to tanning that will occupy my time during the upcoming slow season? I'm looking for something that I can do at my leisure while running the salon, and not bog me down during busy season.
Please help me from the slow season boredom!

I do a lot of sewing and am working on the launch of my own clothing line for the salon. We have also been taking the time to do client mail-out promotions, extra cleaning, PR work, etc. Think of something you can sell in your salon besides tanning. Use the slow season to research it. Clothing? Swimwear? Make jewellery... I personally like to keep busy doing jobs at work during the slow season rather than read books because that makes me too sleepy!

Check out Extra Income forum. Lots of great ideas there. We make jewelry for men & woman. Actually, my boyfriend makes the best pieces and my customers always ask "who made this one". His are sold within two weeks. It's funny. I keep 1/2 supplies at salon and 1/2 at home. We make gift baskets for all occassions too. Customized and pre-made, ie Birthday, Anniversary, etc. are all over the salon.

Lots of ways to stay busy during slow season other than cleaning, cleaning, and more cleaning. Best of luck to you.
