Lotion Usage

Why does people's lotion last them so long???!!! They can't possibly be applying it everywhere everytime and have a bottle last 20 times. I have a stinking suspicion that a large number of clients only apply to face and arms. It feels intrusive to inquire or suggest that they use more but I believe very strongly in generously using lotion ALL OVER EVERY TIME. The only place most lotions shouldn't go is the face, the very place many people seem to focus it. How do we educate clients on this without prying? Does anyone else have clients whose lotion lasts them ridiculously long? I am a very small person and a bottle lasts me 5-12 tans, depending on size and spreadability.

I had a cleint the other day that had tanned 93 times since she bought her lotion. So I asked her how much she was using since it had lasted her so long, she told me "as long as I have this empty bottle in my hands your girls won't try to sell me anything". I tried really hard to sell her a new one, she didn't want any and wouldn't even take a FREE sample from me. HHHHhhhhmmmmm what to do?????

How do people tan and not use any lotion... I drench myself in whatever lotion Im using and then after about 5-6 sessions it's time to get a new bottle of lotion.

Well, them tell her that you'll have to go up on her tanning prices since, she is not buying lotion from you. Tell her that her boycott was not part of the plan and you being the business person that you are has to make a living too so to compensate for her non-spending habits, there will be a $3 surcharge every time she tans from now on.

Like I heard in a recent training class:
Not using lotion while tanning is like starting your car in 2nd gear, you'll eventually get there, it will just take you longer to get up to speed.

she dosent want to spend the money , we have had people bring in stinky cheap moisturizer and use that before they tan, they want to spend thier money on booze and smokes or a tropical vaction. or all three.
We find people are switching to smaller packages to save money, this dosent help our business so we havd uped the price on small packages and single sessions, it just dosent make sence to buy small packages any more, but they still do and we make more money, it keeps us open.

LOL, carries an empty bottle. OMG that is so funny. How dry does she look???

Chippp I also raised prices on single and small packages. I don't think enough but I will add a little more soon as I change my pricing structure when I get upgraded beds.
