Do you send your customers christmas cards?

The title says it all. Do you send your customers christmas cards? If so, do you enclose some sort of coupon or incentive to get them in. Do you send them to all customers or just that ones that haven't been into the salon in a certain amount of time?

I don't send Christmas cards out because I would be at it for along time. I have over 5800 names in my client database and I wouldn't know if it would be more to send them to the clients that haven't been in for awhile or to the those that are faithful and tan year round.

I don't send clients Christmas cards because like LeBronze, I have too many clients in my database. There are a few however that have been coming since we opened and I do always manage to give them a card and a few free tans or whatnot. It is a nice idea however.

The first 2 years I did send out cards to those that hadn't been in for a while. And the ones that were comming in I gave a sample packet or free upgrade. Now I have way to many to send out cards.

My customers can choose a packette from our Christmas tree as my gift to them.

I am also planning to serve goodies and some sort of drink on Christmas Eve. I posted my shorter hours today and stated that they could come in for a tanning break or just drop by for a snack.

Good idea with the snacks. Some of those last minute shoppers may come in for a snack and end up with a gift certificate.

Since I just opened 8 weeks ago I don't have as many clients in my data base. I send a monthly newsletter at the beginning of each month right now. I can see this becomming an unrealistic task in the future. In this month's newsletter we posted holiday hours, monthly special, birthdays, new products and xmas skin care gift bags.

We don't send out Christmas cards for the same as every one else to many clients in the database. We do however, give a Christmas gift pack to all members active from June til Dec. This pack includes a gift certificate for 2 weeks (to give to friend), a coupon for $10 off the sunboard, and of course they get some tanning products/moisterizers. The pack is valued at $250 and it has been benefical to keep clients active and in the salon during slow season.
