Re: High Pressure Beds the Saviour?
We have had several customers pay off their Mastersun 360 within 2 - 3 months with just the revenue it generated. Have one that will be adding their 2nd 360 (in the same store) because he is on a two week wait list with appointments. HP is the way to go.

Re: High Pressure Beds the Saviour?
I flew to Canada with Gianluca and Matt to try the Mastersun and it is certainly on my short list of ones to consider when I buy. We paid off all other salon debt last year and for once am finally making a profit from this venture.

Re: High Pressure Beds the Saviour?
FYI, the sportteadddododododod banner link isn't working. Actually it's the Mysun lotion ad.

Re: High Pressure Beds the Saviour?
2 Weeks?? My customers are booked solid through Christmas!!! It's a feeding frenzy lines around buidings and violating all kinds of fire codes with police outside to direct the crowds!!!
In all serious the Mastersun has done very well for Sportarredo.

Re: High Pressure Beds the Saviour?
John, I think you missed my point. I used sunless as an example to a lot of salon owners thinking. I used it because of salon owners thinking that if they lowered prices that everyone will tan with them. As long as the spray boothes were not as common you could keep the price high and as soon as every salon got one, the first thing they did was cut the price. I have salons that sell sprays for $10 around me. These were $30,000 machines. I still get $25 a spray because I would have to do 3 times the sprays to make the same money.
Right now High Pressure beds are not in every salon. Most salons just don't have them. I personally would not open a new salon with out one. But what happens when or if it is a common part of every salon. What do you think will happen when a salon owner thinks that if I just cut the price by $5 then everyone will tan with me. Just look at the monthly prices of your regular tanning beds. I have heard owners that have been in the business along time, talk about how they got 50-60 a month for 28 lamp beds 20 years ago. Now I have a salon around me that thinks $15.99 a month is the path to riches. I have a chain that does $8 Sunboards, a $30,000 plus machine for $8 a pop. My whole point is High Pressure is a great way to go but that it could change if it becomes common and all it takes is one owner to decide that cutting prices is the way to riches. |

Re: High Pressure Beds the Saviour?
Sportarredo did a good job with the MasterSun and the N'joy.
Why don't others make a smallish 360 about the size of the N'joy or the Sunstorm, instead of these behometh machines that people cannot house or afford.

Re: High Pressure Beds the Saviour?
Al Reasonover use to sell the Venus which was a smaller unit. I think there are only a few of them out there. There are some smaller ones on the market but they are nasty & I won't name them.
Hot Stuff- there are easily about 3X more HP units in salons then there is sunless units. The session price on HP is fairly steady & should remain there.
