For years the real value of any trade show to me has been the ability to sit down one on one with other operators and talk to them. It seems like the relationships and bonds that I built up over the years are very useful as you go through life. You can have people to call up when the business gets you down, when you need questions answered, when you just need a kick in the butt. There did not seem to be enough time to do that in Nashville, I would have loved to have a conference room set up so that people could go there and rest, put their feet up and let their hair down. The ability to pick other peoples brains and let them pick yours is a great way to look at what and how you do things and fine tune your operation. A relaxed atmosphere would be great for this. Let the freebie suckers stand in line for 2 hours, I would rather sit down and talk for 2 hours. I wonder if it would be possible to set this up somehow.

Rich,I agree with you. This show was so busy for me as well. There were some meetings that were cancelled because everyone was too busy.Michael

Rich,I also agree! I looked forward to meeting salon owners to establish a relationship with. It's great to be able to relate with someone in your same field. They usually understand your ups and your downs. Hopefully next year something like that will be available.I hope that tantalk can provide that type of atmosphere for salon owners as well. Although it's not in person I feel we will be able to support one another on this board very effectively!!!------------------Tracie WilliamsSandollar Corporation
