Bed is overheating

Our N'joy bed was used about 3 times in a row today, and now it keeps over heating. We have to keep resetting the reset button, and it is shutting off before the time. It smells like something is getting hot too. What can we look for? We just replaced the mother board about 6 months ago.

If it "smells like something is getting hot", that is probably a wire or something plastic inside the unit burning.

Shut it down, check all the fans, filters, etc. Try to locate the source of the smell - ballast tray, up in a lamp bank, etc

Either you have heat problem in salon being not enought air moving thru the room, and the fact of not letting the bed cool down. cool room down with fans and let bed go thru cool down cycle before using the bed again.

Check all euro plugs. These are the ones used when putting the unit together. It usually starts melting the plastic as the connection heats up. If your lucky it will trip the breaker, if not it could catch the unit on fire.

Sunsally, if I remember you have one of these beds. When I ran it today for the first time, the glass on the canopy was extremely hot!! So there is just the 1 exhaust fan in the back of the unit cooling off the top high pressure lamps? It is working and the 4 side fans are free of dust and working. Definitely smells like burning plastic!! Any thing you can suggest?

^^^How many minute session do you run----30 minutes? That bed can't handle 30 minute sessions, it gets too hot. The filter glass normally get really hot.

^^^are you running a full 30 minute session. I had all kinds of heat issues when I did a 30 minute session. I now run it 26 minutes max w/no problems.
