Opening a Salon in IL, please help.
 

Hey Tan Talk,

I am expanding into IL from WI and I want to start applying for the applicable licenses and permits however the IL websites have not been very helpful

Can anyone get me in the right direction?

Looking to open a salon in Lake County, IL.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It is going to be hard to get a reply from any Il salon operators, simply, I believe, because they see you as a possible competitor.

I would imagine, the laws are applicable as they are in WI..most neighboring states are.

Do not know if Il is regulated or not. Have you called their Board of Cosmetology? They may be the ones to guide you (??)

There is plenty of room in IL to go around regarding the tanning business. Sunbursttans I would greatly appreciate any help.

I know IL is heavily regulated but as long as I know them all and do ask they ask, I shouldn't have any trouble!
