Acrylics cracking on the bench

We have 3 Odyssey beds and the acrylics keep cracking on the bench right in the center where it meets the metal support bar. Can anyone think of a solution to prevent this? I though about a thin strip of the soft side of Velcro to cushion the support bars, but any other ideas?

Sometimes you can install more metal supports (generic) depending on the bed. More support and ensuring that your (internal) bed fans are cooling the bottom of the bed are the most important things. I know many beds also have plastic u shaped strips that you may be able to buy to cushion the support strips.
