Whats it worth?
 

Hi all... newbie here, so please go easy :icon_confused: I am looking at purchasing an existing salon & wanted to get some seasoned opinions.
It is 2,000sqft in a very large shopping center on a main artery with a ton of traffic- so location is great (bad part is the rent is quite high bc of the location). Only one real "competitor" in the area (which is a franchise).
Beds are as follows:
UWE iBed
UWE Cayenne
Solarforce 652v standup
starpower 548
sunvision 28LE
Sunvision Elite 30
Orbit 44/4
Solarix X2
& Celebrity airbrush

They currently have them at "4 levels" - how would you level each of these?

I have been doing my research and reading about the beds, and have been trying to find monetary values of them, but I would love some more input from people who actually have/had these, rather than what the manufacturer/distributor says (I know how sales go!)

What would you get rid of? replace with? etc.

If you purchased an existing salon, what played into the sale price aside from the beds that were there? How much is "client database" worth? How much is the space worth tha'ts already set up (hvac/elec/rooms etc)?

That is a pretty solid list of equipment. I would probably change out the Sunvision beds. To replicate that store with that equipment you are probably talking 100-150K. If it has the proper power and proper AC and a decent buildout there is certainly value. However you should really be basing the purchase on the earnings of the business.

Thanks! I appreciate your feedback. I figured the sunvisions should go. 2012 financials show 236k gross, 93k net- current owner is absentee & they are definitely not pushing any sales or marketing/advertising (paper or web) nor utilizing EFT.
