Rep Power: 0 | looking for your 2cents Hi all! I have been dreaming of starting my own tanning salon business for many years. However, my husband has been serving our wonderful country in the Army for the past 25 years. With that being said, we have uprooted our family every couple 2 - 3 years, all over the world. He is finally looking into retiring which now means my dream come true is in reach. I have no idea where to start. I would love to hear any suggestions. I'm most interested in how to come up with a floor plan/design, which companies are best to use for equipment, and which beds and "extra's" are your favorites. Also, for salon owners who manage your own salon, how much would you suggest you pay yourself? I have a name picked out, but where do I get my logo designed? Soooo many questions! I look forward to meeting you on here and learning from your advice! Thanks in advance! |

Within each section there are "sticky" post that stay at the top - generally picked because they are particularly good or representative. You can also use the "search" to look for specific topics. After you have done some reading, you will probably have even MORE questions - but the answers will make a little more sense because you will have more information. Welcome!

Hi there! Do you happen to know how far from Milwaukee it is? We are planning on living outside of Milwaukee, but close enough to visit because that's where my family is. I'd love to know more! Please share!

There are many more industries that you can have a better return on your investment. To your husband: Thank you for your service to our country. |

First of all, thank you for your appreciation of my husbands service. It's always nice to be appreciated. As far as for finding a different investment, thank you for the advice but I think I would rather give it my best and fail than to never have tried it at all. This has been something I've been wanting to do for more than a decade, but I've had to put it off as I've followed my husband around the world with his military career. Since last year, I have been battling breast cancer, and I'm winning the fight! Life is short. I am on a mission to accomplish the things I've always wanted to do. My husband supports this and I know that there is nothing the two of us can not do when we put our hearts and minds to it. Our marriage has been able to remain strong even though we've spent more than half our marriage separated because of military missions. We will give it a go and with that, give it our best. Best wishes!

Having the proper information to establish and structure salon should be based on your chosen market and financing available. Fortunately the SBA has a special military express loan available. We will discuss in detail what exactly you picture as your dream salon and make decisions accordingly. Don't make the mistake of so many salon owners that went in blind or with poor planning. |
