Rep Power: 0 | Post card mail out I am going to try a direct mail post card mail out and was wondering if anyone has had much luck with this. Also, what do you suggest I put on it? Free tan, any level? What has worked best for any one that has done this? |

a. Mail out to your data base (KNOWN tanners) b. Make a longer term, "too good to be true" type offer. For example "Tan for summer for $69, Tan 'till the end of the year for $99". Realistically, you won't have it in their hands for at LEAST another 2 weeks so that gives them July/Aug and a little bit of June for $69 (about $25/mo or more than EFT would be) and 6 months for about $18/mo (or about EFT pricing). "One free tan" is never a good offer (need a multiple visit offer to try to give you time to get them committed) and especially now as the "season" is ending and people are less interested in tanning. If you want to do a mailout to NON-customers at this time of year, make it a select group of those that BEST match your current customer data base (e.g. age, gender, distance/neighborhoods from your salon). You will get a much better return from direct mail when you send it at the beginning of the season (e.g. Jan/Feb/March) but an offer like this should drive SOME interest, but do it ASAP as the closer you get to July 4 and JASON, the less interest anyone will show no matter what the offer. | |

Rep Power: 0 | Re: Post card mail out I know, this is crazy. Today is the slowest day I think I have had and so was yesterday. 1 tanner/hour average, and it is not even JASON yet, officially.. I can understand the "some good, some bad" days. But this has been a daily decline for us. |

Hopefully our business is still growing after this first year. I have never had all the 10 uv units being used at the same time, but I heard from a client who came from my competitor that THEY were always so busy. I don't get it.... I have equal equipment, better prices, and a huge waiting area. |
