Rep Power: 14 | Re: Need help with choosing beds with low amprage $2,000 a month rent is A LOT to pay out every day for a retail space that offers no opportunity to be profitable (no ability to increase power means no good beds to generate $$). I say, look for another spot, threaten the landlord with the possibility of empty space inventory if he is not willing to work with you...and WHY would you want to be committed to a lease where the landlord is being a hard a$$.. MOVE ON.. |

Rep Power: 14 | Re: Need help with choosing beds with low amprage dont forget to add in cost of build out to the break even. I am by appt only as well (although I work about 60 hours a week)...In the last year I have gotten over 3k clients. People are used to traveling for spray tans . I got out of bed tanning due to the high overhead and headache. Really think about this. IN SF since it is a big city, your comp will have shiny and new high end beds. You dont want to open with crappy limited beds just so you can open |

Rep Power: 13 | Re: Need help with choosing beds with low amprage Did u contact the utility? Electricians have no bearing on power access. I recently had a 800load service installed all i need do was ask. I wouldnt stop there contact your local power company. Your landlord should pay all costs as thats a building improvement that he will make money off forever. The only time u pay for such things is if you already operate and upgrade. Sadly in that position you have no negotiating power. Also check demos in a 1heartbeat mile radious and walking patterns. City is great but if off beaten path itz not good |

Rep Power: 13 | Re: Need help with choosing beds with low amprage I missed the insurance bit. Not wanting to upgrade power for insurance probably means he doesn't want to spend any money on the facility for some reason or that he expect you to pay for it both non-starters. 100 amps is hardly enough for general lighting and computers plus HVAC so not sure you could even add one bed. |

Rep Power: 0 | Re: Need help with choosing beds with low amprage It is. That is the best advice on this thread. The landlord is restricting any success for this business. No need to sign a lease there. It would be a death sentence. |
