UWE tropical foot fan not coming on. - tanTALK

The foot fan just stopped working. Besides taking it apart and cleaning out the dust, which I can see it has, what else can I look for that is keeping it from coming on?

Unplug the fan from the unit. With the bed running see if you have voltage at the connection coming out of the bed. If so then your fan may have gone belly up if not you need to look inside your bed for the problwm.

Thanks Robert. We tried another fan from another Tropical, and it doesn't work either, so it's not the fan. Do you know what we should look for inside the bed then?

Pretty simple bed. I would trace the wires back from the connection point and start looking for issues.

Probably a bad switch.

HELP!!! First the foot fan and now the bed doesn't come on at all !!! We haven't done anything to it since we were waiting for a call from PC marketing. ( Still haven't heard from them.) Tried resetting the switch on the top of bed. All wires seem connected. Brian, what switch are you refering to. We have other Tropicals, so if we need to try a part from one to narrow down the problem we could.
