Rep Power: 0 | Airbrush Training I am new to the tanning world and would like to add spray tanning to my salon. Since I know absolutely nothing about it, I have been trying to do my homework. Yesterday I spoke to Mandy at Airbrush by Mandy, we talked about the machine and training. I admired her personality and customer care. The price for the training was pretty expensive, although I understand they would fly to my salon, set me up and give 8 hours of training and leave me ready to start spraying the next day. My question is would it be worth the money to have such intent training and certification as well as the machine is the LVLP. I want to start out with success not failure due to my lack of Knowledge. Please give me feed back on the business. Pros and cons. I live in a very small town where there are tons of tanning beds but only one person who sprays, and she is outside of town. I am willing to invest money to add to my salon, but I don't want to spend what is not needed. Thank-you |

Rep Power: 0 | Re: Airbrush Training I went to the class yesterday in Tulsa. It was a great class, I evened bucked up and put the bikini on for the demo. (Now that was a site!) I did it so I could experience the products, etc. I seen alot of things about the spray tan I wasn't liking, but figure it was only a demo and this way I was able to see do's and don'ts. After Showering today I do feel better about it. My next thing is that I talked to Mandy at Jamaca Me Tan and was also impressed with her. Although I can't afford to spend the extra in training with her. So now I have to decide Norvell or Mandy. Any advice from you out there would be SO appreciated. I know alot of it is personal preference, but I want to be the best in my area without alot of trial and error on top of all the practicing I will need. Thanks |

Rep Power: 14 | Re: Airbrush Training I was trained by Mandy & feel it was a key to the success of my business. You are right in the aspect of part of it being personal preference, however her personality & the customer service from her & the gals who work for her has been great. I am someone who likes step by step instruction & then can add my own twist. I felt like I left training ready for giving a great tan & whenever I had follow up questions I could just call & get the answer right away :-) Training is like solution , everyone has their favorite & what works for them. Hope you find the one that works for you :-)Good Luck & enjoy your new adventure! |

Rep Power: 20 | Re: Airbrush Training You may want to try Fantasy tan also. It could be the most expensive but it's hard to screw up with there solution . The training can also be a hit and miss depending on who you get. We had tried Cal tan, Infinity Sun, Norvell and Fantasy. Fantasy has given the best, most consistent results of any. |
