Rep Power: 21 | FREE Demographic Report & Floor Plan Two very important elements of opening a new tanning salon are demographic reports and a floor plan design. There are many ways to get a demographic report, but sorting through the numbers to get to the information that is pertinent to the success of a tanning salon can also be quite difficult. Knowing how to best utilize every inch of your lease space can be very difficult. You have some ideas of what you want your salon to look like but getting it drawn out so your contractor knows exactly what you want and how to incorporate it with where doors, plumbing and electrical must be located can be quite a task. If you have decided to open a new tanning salon, you can send me the address of the location you are interested in along with the dimensions of the space and location of the doors, pluming and electrical panel and I will pull a custom tanning salon demographic report, and design a floor plan created on a CAD program that will best utilize every inch of the space. You can also send any design ideas you have. I will provide these documents FREE to any potential new salon owners. Please send your request to my email address. Please include your name and contact information. These documents are just two of the steps that will get you on your way to opening your new salon. Because creating these documents are very time consuming, I ask that the floor plan only be requested by people that are planning on opening a new salon. If you are an existing salon owner or thinking about buying an existing salon I will be happy to send you a demographic report FREE. |

Rep Power: 21 | Re: FREE Demographic Report & Floor Plan It is very important to be familiar with your market. Demographics & Demographic Evaluation Many important decisions are made based on demographics. Your business plan, income projections and future growth are based on demographics. My custom designed tanning salon demographic reports are provided by Demographics Now, the most comprehensive demographic source in the US. When choosing the best possible location for your salon or evaluating an existing salons location you must depend on your demographic report. A typical tanning salon will draw its client base from a three mile radius. Tanners will tan within three miles of where they live not where they work. Therefore it is important that there are as many roof tops within one, two and three miles as possible with the one mile radius being very important. Tanning is a destination business so there is no such thing as drive buy business. Larger shopping centers with anchors are no more desirable than a smaller strip center. In fact if there is adequate parking in the smaller strip center and the center has easy accessibility the smaller center is a better choice. The only business that will increase business in a tanning center is a fitness center. If you are in a small town isolated from other towns your salon will draw from a larger radius. There are many other points that should be considered when evaluating your demographic report. Site Evaluations The location of your business can be the difference between success and failure in the tanning industry. There are many things to look for when choosing a tanning salon location that you would not be aware of unless you have owned a successful salon before. Many salons that are struggling or failing are doing so due to poor site selection. Every step of creating a successful salon is important and it starts with site selection. |

Rep Power: 13 | Re: FREE Demographic Report & Floor Plan I don't understand why this keeps getting posted? A person from out of town has about a zero on a value scale for local site selection. Only local players can site select which is why all the majors use local folks to site select. Is this an ad? I really don't get it. Demo reports and floorplans are always free from your CR. And any new site will require signed prints which again has to be done by a licensed local professional. Perhaps instead you could list some insight using your vast experience on what to look for in a demo report what metrics to request and what to avoid in a floorplan etc... it might liven up this 4 year old thread that keeps getting revisited with zero comments. |

to determine how a space can be used you must have a floor plan. before negotiating a lease, writing a business plan, determining equipment mix and so much more, you must have a floor plan. Not a blue print, that comes later. this thread stays here because demographic reports and floor plans will always be needed. This is a great free service.

I send out dozens of custom demographic reports each week and have designed the floor plan for hundreds of salons, all for free, and ask for nothing in return. People that did not need this information 4 years ago may need it today, so it is certainly not recycled. The latest information put into a form that you can understand. This service is beneficial to this site and anyone that wishes to open a salon or have a current look at their market. But thank you for your misinformed opinion.

Rep Power: 21 | Re: FREE Demographic Report & Floor Plan It is also very important to understand what the information on the demographics means to your specific project. I will also assist with the evaluation on the demographic report as it relates to your specific project. No matter what you do in life, the more accurate, useful information you have, the better decisions you can make. |
