No, rather than a new post I simply bumped this one because this is a service I provide free to people that visit tantalk. Everybody can use a current demographic report for their market.

Just curious, what is the target demographic profile that you look for in terms of age, household income, race, female/male ratio, education level, etc.?

The point of a detailed demographic report for a tanning salon is to look at total population within a 3 mile radius with 1 and 2 miles being most important. You can also look at growth since 2010 and projected growth for 2020.

You pay special attention to average age, household income and % of white population. Knowing the target demographic is age 18 to 54 with 18 to 39 being very important.

When evaluating potential locations you can make comparisons to establish the best location. You can also use demographics to determine possible projected use of different levels of equipment. There is so much that can be helpful when looking at demographic reports.

They are also very important in making income projections. Salons can be successful within any income level however income average can help determine equipment mix and price structure. These are just a few of the areas of importance that a demographic report can be used for. Many salons have been structured improperly because of lack of knowledge of a market.

Sorry for the repost but the free demographic post should actually be a sticky post because it is beneficial to all to be able to access a current detailed report and I am happy to offer it free no questions asked accept a location to use as a geo point. It is a feature for this forum.
