Could even a small hairline crack let enough UVB rays to do that? I told her I have NEVER seen this before, as I haven't, but she has come in twice to show me her burn. I haven't seen any bad reviews about my salon on line or facebook yet, but she and her friend haven't been back to use their pkgs either. Her freind kept saying "you need to see a doctor". I did tell her that I was a nurse, had been in family practice for years, and what we would have told her, cool compresses and take ibuprofen, and no ointments on a blistering burn. She seemed OK with that, anyway. |

Business is bad enough around here even with customers that like us, so I sure don't need negative comments from clients. I took good care of her when she was in and showed concern, so at least she won't think I'm a B***ch. Friendliness and getting the customer to like you helps, anyway, I hope. |

Rep Power: 18 | Re: Cracked blue filter on HP? How to tell? HELP!! I'm not at all familiar with this unit, but is it possible that the glass is held in a housing by a screw(s), and the screw loosened and the glass shifted a fraction of an inch allowing a band of un-filtered light through? In that case, the burn would pretty much be a straight line. If this were the problem, the glass could have moved back into place when the top was raised or lowered, which would explain why others were not burned. Again, I do not know this unit and this is therefore pure speculation! |

Rep Power: 0 | Re: Cracked blue filter on HP? How to tell? HELP!! HP beds and unfiltered light are the quickest and worst ways to be burnt. If you have the overlapped type of filters make sure they have ample overlap! If you have a cooling fan failure you could have warped a filter glass that allows light past. Throw a dark towel on the bed and look for a bright stripe of light. Good luck uvatanningservice@gmail.com |
