I am in the same boat as you looking for something for a small business that doesn't have all the bells and whistles, and doesn't cost a fortune. I agree, people here are so helpful and I appreciate that as much as you! If you receive information you find helpful I would be thankful for your sharing. I in turn will definately do the same. i recently bought a tanning salon with 6 beds a stand up and a spray tan.....the software that we use is salontouch its pretty inexpensive and REALLY easy to use. I hope my two little "sense" helps in your decision making.

I am also new to the business and i choose tantracks. it is easy to use/learn. They are very friendly. The down side is the customer support is by voicemail and like you already experienced their hardware is expensive and if you dont buy from them there is a charge for their drivers. Overall pretty good, so far, but it could still be better.

You'll be waiting a long long time for a reply....never return your calls if there is an issue. Once they have your money......goodbye customer service.Best thing to do is check out the companies with BBB. Wish I would of done this prior to buying. And yes, there's pro's and con's with all software, but might as well go where they'll be customer service when a problem arises.

I bought Nichesoft because it was represented to me that it would handle my Fitness Center/Tanning salon. It can't and they don't give refunds... It was totally misrepresented to me as interfacing with QuickBooks Pro: It only does a single journal entry of the days totals...it does not break it out into tanning and memberships. It doesn't work with my current merchant account as they said it would. It doesn't use my merchant account equipment as they said it would. It can't handle family plan programs as they said it would and it can't monitor key card entries because it doesn't work with my key cards as they said it would. It may be good for a tanning salon...but so far...nothing they said it would do has come to pass. AND NO REFUNDS ....!

I've filed a complaint with the BBB and they quoted me a price and the amount charged was more...just as I've seen on here has happened to others. So far their "email" tool hasn't worked for anything either... they talk a good game but delivery stinks.

I Agree^^^^ I Have Sunlync and it is AWESOME....It is kinda expensive at first though.

Waiting on a follow up response from BBB: Tan Track's owner blatantly misrepresented facts to the BBB: We had witness on the phone at the time of the presentation and BBB is now following up on the rebuttal. These people have no scruples. Lying outright and misrepresenting what their product will do. Totally outrageous.

If I don't do anything else... People will know they are not a reputable organization FOR SURE.
