Acrylics

Yes I'm a newbie Are paper towels ok to clean the acrylics with? Or do they leave fine scratches not visible to the naked eye and over time ruin our acrylics? Not too mention hidden areas for bacteria to hide in if there are fine scratches. I imagine soft paper towels would be ok. What do you think? Thank you for your time.

Re: Acrylics

Well towels are a much cheaper route in the long term. That much I do know for sure. Some say paper towels scratch, some say they dont. I would not use them though.

Re: Acrylics

I should say I use REGULAR towels, not paper towels. My post may have been read wrong if done so in haste.

Re: Acrylics

Paper towels are fine and sanitary as you just throw them out. If you use regular towels then use separate towels than the ones for clients so you can wash these without fabric softener as the towel will be less absorbent and leave streaks.

I use Bounty, as it is very soft. As Brian said, it is the most sanitary. Wipe one with a few Bounty and toss them.

You people who use cloth towels: Do you use one per bed, and then into the wash, or do you use the same towel to clean multiple beds; in which case... gross!

1 per bed here. If a towel touches the floor it goes straight to the hamper. Some beds require 2 towels to clean. You know who you are dirty, sweaty bizznatch...
