I am a new salon owner and was wondering if you other owners allow tanning if it is lightning...I know it must be a dumb question but I was just checking...I wouldn't using common sense but was wondering what others do...thanks

Never an issue here. Everything is grounded. It would take a pretty good direct hit to cause an issue.

^^ exactly. Clients always ask questions like that when they come in during bad weather.

If you are up to code on everything it shouldn't be an issue. We have an emergency switch at every bed and some kind of huge surge protector on the electric panels. I heard this was in the new code but I honestly don't know. We also have emergency lights all throughout the salon if the power goes out and lit exit signs as well.

thanks we are up to code also and everything is grounded just wasn't too for sure...I thought it would be ok but just thought I would ask others...thanks for your replies...

We are up to code and all also but i have ALOT of people who always tell me to let them know if it get's nasty outside b/c they want to get out. I always let them know but this has happened once iin the 2 years i hav been here and i got people out not b/c of lightning but b/c a tornado hit about 2 blocks up the street!!!
