You DO however learn how to think, and use common sense, and that in itself is priceless. Just a tip..... if your goin to school for business, Id reccommend you do something BIGGER than tanning, but thats just my opinion.

Rep Power: 17 | Re: ?????? Skip school... Unless you are going to major in something that requires a degree its probably going to end up a waste of time. You'll have some stories to tell, but it'll end there. In 4 years you could own a tanning salon outright if you played you cards right and have knowledge a college kid could only dream of. Depending on the school you go to, you could purchase one or more salons with tuition costs alone! Find a part time job at a salon while having a full time job that pays your bills and allows you to save some money. While you’re at the salon learn as much as you can. If that owner/manager is unwilling to teach you, find another salon to work at. There are a huge number of salons that fail each year (many with a college education) so finding a bargain in this industry is pretty easy. The four or so year you spend in college could be better utilized learning how to and running your own business. It'll probably be cheaper! If the Salon idea doesn’t work out you have gained a huge amount of experience and know how that college won’t teach you. |
