Rep Power: 0 | Demographics Input Hi everyone. I've been reading around for the last week or so and been doing some research over the past couple of months. I know the market is saturated but I do believe that I have encountered a unique location in a great market. Right now it is mainly an idea that I am toying with. The location is a three minute walk from a local college where tuition is roughly 50k per year. From what I have gathered there is a large number of tanners with the biggest complaint being that there is not a salon close by. There is a sunless place walking distance but the nearest place for beds is about 5 miles away. Also, the town has a population of roughly 25k split 50-50 male to female. It is considered a "yuppie" town and the average household income is $85k. Some things that stood out were 25% of the population under 25 earns over 60k per year. 20% of the 25 to 34 ages earn over 100k. The location I am thinking of is also a 2 minute walk from the center of town where the high end stores and resturants are located. I know there are many more factors to take into consideration. Are these the numbers I should be paying attention to? Am I missing anything? Thanks, Peter |
