Although I do have a tendency to stand my ground and I love a challenge, I'm no dummy either. I was working on a 9 month plan and was only going to follow through if the research showed positive results; but most importantly after prayer, letting God's will be done and not my own. I know very well that Robbie S could just open another salon in my town, with this I believe there still would be plenty of business (we believe our 60k population is not even close, probably more like 100k). Regardless I've received my answer and I won't be going though with the salon - at least not now; perhaps in another few years I'll revisit the thought. Thanks again and the best of luck to you all!!

Thoe alot of bed makers are trying to run to Russia the so called new tanning haven, people will get tired of the scared pratices and will return. Has darque tan low balled the industry? No and yes. No because any one that can be sucessfull as they have can show there is no cause for someone to think its a cut throat industry. Yes because when you see someone doing really well as darque tan then you think that you have to copy his method, and really the only thing that you are doing is making people think, why am I going to go to the copy cat salon when I can have the real thing? Thus in the end all you are really doing is making money for darque tan because if he ever needs money to grow his business he can show every investor that, look at all the people who took my model and been every sucessful with it. Darque Tan has changed alot of ways people operate tanning but remember stay focus on your model and make that sucessful and the rest will follow. There will be a very big shift coming soon when tanning will be hotter than ever. Best advise I can give is wait study and learn everything there is to know about this industry, dont do any leasing on beds if you can not afford to do it. Just like any other business you need back up reserve if something bad happends.

Isn't lowballing a term used for old men who don't wear underwear? A customer who has never heard of Darque Tan (which is 95.5% of the pepole tanning in the US) doesn't know who copied who. They just judge their experience the same way all tanners do. Did I get a tan?..was it clean?...was it friendly?..was it a value?..will I go back? I have been copied for more than 15 years (a lot of which I've encouraged) and in all that time I can honestly say, it has never hurt me, but instead, helped me. Not because I can show investors how much money others have made using this system (I don't even get that point), but because I have had the priviledge to share so much with many like-minded individuals who have in turn helped advance these ideas. Sharing works! (but then I guess you all knew that already, or you wouldn't be here in the first place). |

If Bill Gates need investors he gets investors by showing his model and how sucessfull it is and how he change the market. Theres nothing wrong with that, that is business and it happends everyday. No one in this industry should think you or any business person is competition. There is too much money out here for anyone to even come close to think that. Anyone who thinks you are low balling the industry is out of there mind when there is no true industry to begin with. You have a model that works and works well. You right 98% of the american public dont know your business or anybody else on here. But my point was if someone is copying off your $18.88 model in there area and there the first, and someone else copies it, and then the next and the next sooner or later they will (unless the first business is not doing a good job) go to the business that started it in there area. If they do not know how to perfect the method that you are doing it will create a snowball effect that will knock all of them out of business. Sharing ideas does work no one can do anything alone and anyone who thinks that is crazy. I wish everyone the best this yr and beyond there will be many new changes in the game but for the good.
