Re: How to start a Mobile Tanning Biz.

^ Turnning people down is never good business. It shows you don't know how to grow and handle your own business. It makes you appear unprofessional. I don't advertise because I don't want to cause something that would make me look like a bad business person.... it's not an option.

Oh No Eileen - LOL - I NEVER, ever turn people down, I just have to schedule them for another day! Keeps my weeks full! I also have two friends, who have now purchased their own Sunmist Mobile Systems, and go to my events with me (and are growing thier personal business too)! One day a few weekends ago between us we sprayed 40 people at an Active Adult Community, now we are scheduled to go back once a week, it's AWESOME! And a THRILL!! And of course $$$$$ rewarding too!

Re: How to start a Mobile Tanning Biz.

Hello,

Just curious how your business is going?

After a terrible sunless tanning experience last week, I am researching the cost and certification required to do mobile spray tannning.

I am also interested in a business that will allow me to have a flexible schedule since my daughter is 8-1/2 years old.

I would appreciate any recommendations you may have (training, best airbrush machine, products and what you estimate the cost to get into the business to be).

I am located in Sonoma County (Santa Rosa, California) - Northern California.

Thank you so much,

Tabatha

Here's the deal:

I am in Southern California. I want to start a mobile tanning business. I am currently checking into the following products: Fantasy Tan Air Caddy, Apllo hplv, & the Turbo Tan. Can anyone recommend the best product for me?

Also, do I need to get a business license first to order my products?

What insurance in California do I need to go into peoples homes to spray tan them?

I cannot find the information I am looking for. TanTalk is the mos informative site that I have found so far & all of you seem to be well-respected business owners. So your advice is greatly appreciated.

I need help in every aspect people. I want to give the best quality tans available with the best customer service. I want to put my clients happiness & safety first. That is my number one priority. Any suggestions? I don't even know where to start. That's why I came to all of you.
