I think he just had trouble getting in and out of the beds... like used his knee or elbow. Those knees and elbows are all bone. He actually said, "I dont know how this always happens to me. It happen a couple of times at home too." He dressed like a girl on the weekends. |

Usually what happens is they have a hand or a knee go through the acrylic when getting in or out of the bed - nasty mess when that happens. Best thing to do when they are that big is to get them into the stand-up as was mentioned earlier, or a spray-tan service.

Rep Power: 20 | Re: A sensitive issue /question I think the whole, "I think this bed would be the best for your tan and keeping you cool and comfortable." is a great way of putting it. If they say that didn't want to spend that much, maybe offer them a discount. Costs less than a new acrylic! |

Rep Power: 0 | Re: A sensitive issue /question The owner and I had pretty much dismissed a stand up bed for the new facility but after hearing you guys and your suggestion to direct them to a stand up bed, we're giving that another look. bfg0202 - Was he hurt? Mr Belvedere - Does the client suffer an injury when you have a nasty mess? I'm guessing that's what you mean. It would be bad enough that they break the acrylics, but getting all cut up and bleeding would pretty much send me straight for the floor. KnxTan - Discretion is always best. ;-) One of our employees is somewhat of a cartoonist. I thought I might have her draw something (not anything offensive) that says what our weight limit is on the beds. Maybe when a potential new client looks a little borderline, they could hand it out as a flyer in addition to framing them and putting them on the door to the tanning room. I'm trying to do something that will lessen the times that staff has to directly confront someone and hurt their feelings. Thanks so much! |

Rep Power: 20 | Re: A sensitive issue /question -SadieMae- No... Mr/Mrs was not hurt. If he was he didn't say anything about it. It was when he was getting out and kind of down the middle of the acrylic. I have no idea how he did it. It was kind of like an "L" shape break. And he kept on coming so it must not have been too embarrassing. |
