Rep Power: 0 | First few months revenue? September was my first month open - I'm curious if anyone would be willing share what their first few month's revenue was? Just curious if I'm even in the ballpark, doing well, etc. Thanks! |

Another contributing factor is that our building sign was 2 weeks late. The first 2 weeks were VERY slow and then as soon as our sign was up, our revenue quadrupled compared to previous weeks. |

September is a hard month to open, hang in there, it'll start to pick up before you know it. |

We've got some 'yard signs' out by the main highway that gets a lot of traffic. 4 signs spread out with Now Open, our logo/name, our special, etc. Then what has worked well, too, is printing off my own flyer cards and handing them out at the local football and soccer games. Friday night football is big in this town so I was able to give out a lot of flyers. I have also put these same flyers in people's mailboxes (not the USPS ones everyone here has an extra box for that stuff) and that has generated some response. Those are my cheap advertisements! Not a big budget this month for advertising. Local newspaper will run an article on us opening (free!) and I'm in touch with the school newspaper as well. The biggest way that people have been finding out about me so far is through referrals - can't say enough how huge that is! Thinking of running a referral program next month. |

I agree that there are so many variables - it's one of those curiosity things :) And this is just revenue - not net less expenses (since I know those vary a lot as well). We are the only upscale salon around - 2 other close competitors but they are old. |
