Get to meet all the bed manufacturers under one roof. Pickup all the literature. Don't get conned into buying anything until you have done all your research and talked with owners of different equipment. Spend one day with the bed manufacturers. One day with the lotion manufacturers. Ask a lot of questions. Take a pair of comfortable shoes. Opryland is huge. I think they got like 4000+ rooms. Think MGM in scale without the casino. Take in some of the shows at the Opryland, meet and talk to some salon owners and get feedback. Get the manufacturers to invite you to one of their private after-show parties. The tanning salon business is a tough business so don't get too caught up with the splash and glitz. Remember, that when you get back home, reality starts to set in. You have to make it happen. For every salon that makes it there are three than fail. Big Leo |

Rep Power: 21 | Re: Tanning World Expo 2006 I think the show & the seminars are well worth the money. We only did the show floor the first year, but since then we always also attend the seminars. We have taken staff before, but the employee turnover makes that kind of a waste of money. We will only take managers from now on. It is a great opportunity to meet with other salon owners who may know something you don't... always fun to network. |
