what would you suggest as owners to stock up on for you grand opening? I know dist are going to suggest too much crap. What are your all time best sellers and favorites? Sorry if this is asking too much.

Re: lotions

Personally, I love everything from SynergyTan. Designer Skin is super popular. I will say, IMO, that you should NOT go with Aussie Gold & Sweedish Beauty. They are not as good as some other brands, even tho they are well known.

Do a search, there was a thread a few months back about this....

Re: lotions

Thanks, I did find out some info on the lotion thread. I was just curious from an owners opinion. I am just researching everything, I should be open this fall, looks late fall but still up in the air. It's a new retail center and the completion date keeps getting put back. I have permits ready to go, general contractor ready too. Hurry up and wait!

Re: lotions

Did you create flyers for your distributor to send to the lotion companies? We got a bunch of grand opening kits from Devoted Creations, Fiji, Designer Skin, Fiesta Sun, Pro Tan, Supre, Ultimate NY, and Tan Inc. If you need more info give me a PM.

Re: lotions

My suggestion would be to have packets & bottles available for sale. It's hard to gauge what your optimal inventory level will be right now because you are just opening up. Pick a few manufactures that will provide you with rebates for what you are purchasing, or go private label to avoid the whole ebay purchasing dilemma owners face. Purchase lotions in "3 levels": high end, mid range and low range. It will help you when selling to the different types of customers that come into your salon. In the end it's all trial and error, it depends on what you like and how much your disty is going to help you.
