what would you do??

i bought a montego bay V 56 stand up tanning bed from a remarketing company. first of all, it took alot longer than i anticipated to recieve it. secondly, it was damaged during shipment. i guess they are in the claim process now. i was told that they are waiting on a price quote for the ballast tray. how long should this take? ive been enduring this painful process of purchase for over 2 months. all i have to show for it is a P.O.S. i am to open my doors the 15th of this month. im discouraged to say the least. should i hand this to my lawyer?? do i just haf to set and wait?? can this company be exposed for thier lousy service? should i expose them? ive asked for support, upates, information and consideration from sales person. ive asked for the same from the department in charge of shipping. i get nothing. what would you do?? what can i do. i need help here. they have my $$. i have a non working stand up bed.

Start escalating it...don't talk to sales people, talk to supervisors. If you don't get a satisfactory answer in a reasonable amount of time...have your lawyer write a letter. Thats what I would do...not only as a salon owner...but as a buyer for a contract manufacturing company. When a supplier fails to deliver on a sale...start escalating it...

Re: what would you do??

They should of received a quote for the ballast tray in a matter of a few minutes. All it takes is a phone call to the mfg. Give the sales person a ultimatum, like (2) more days for an answer then I would call PC Marketing and get a quote for the ballast tray and then have it faxed and then call the freight company and ask to speak to a supervisor and spill the beans if you aren't helped within 2 days. Freight company's sometimes take some time on freight claims but if you push the issue hard, it will get resolved quicker. I had a shipment that waited for 3 months before someone came and took pictures of the damage, it wasn't a major issue so I didn't push the envelope. Start now with the numbers to call and then in 2 days you will be ready. Good Luck......
