I (for once) agree with Steve on the off brand thing, You do get what you pay for especially with this industry. Most newbies cheap out on the most impt thing they SHOULD be spending some bank on. Check out the classifieds for ETS beds, they are the most widely listed, because cheap salon owners FINALLY smarten up and sell them to OTHER suckers. Don't be that first sucker. Rep Power: 25 | Re: Newbie really needs your input! You start with "ok, I'm about to open a salon, the papers are all but signed" and now you are asking us if you'll make any money while being an absentee owner??? No. You will not. You will likely be bankrupt or selling it at a loss before 24 months. I'm willing to guarantee that from what you have presented so far. Stop IMMEDIATELY. Don't make a MOVE on a lease until you have a LOT more understanding of the industry, especially the economics of it over the last few years, and what it takes to actually be profitable. If you don't, I guarantee that you will fail if you continue on the path you're on. |
