Re: Newbie really needs your input!

Sometimes you have to ask yourself "Hmmm, why are those so cheap?".

Once again Wolff makes lamps, not beds.

Do you mean you priced out those same ETS beds from other distributors or you checked out other brands (Dr Mueller, UWE, Tan America...) and found the equivalent beds to be more?

Dr Muller, UWE and TA do not have equivalent beds to ETS. Everybody in the business knows ETS beds are a newbie mistake, they are the Pep Boys of tanning.

Re: Newbie really needs your input!

I checked out the exact same beds by other distributors, none of the other brands because I am just not as familiar with them as I am the ones ETS offers. Sounds like I have lots of work to do.......I'm really thinking after reading your comments, that this is not the biz for me.

Re: Newbie really needs your input!

Are there any other salons around you? If so you need to find out what equipment they have and get at least what they have as far as levels or better. Not saying the same beds/standups, just the something that can compete or one up them as far as performance. A lot has to do with your location and demographics. As far as ETS goes, that is what I have in my salon and have only had one problem with a timer relay in the one base bed.

Re: Newbie really needs your input!

Why ETS?? Seems you are stuck on the line. Have you checked UWE or any others?? get what your comp DOESN'T have and better.

Re: Newbie really needs your input!

I inherited 2 ETS beds, my phase 1 (lowest level) from the previous owners. They are old and not such great models even when they were new.... and I think they are such junk that I have completly closed the door of one room and refuse to let people use it. I'd rather put people in my phase 2 beds (Puretan) for less minutes, that's how icky I think my ETS beds are. They will be the first to go when I start buying new!!

This is just my experience. I know there are some people here that love their ETS beds.

Don't give up on the whole industry just because you can't decide what beds to buy!!

Well it's easy to get just as familiar with the others. Just check out the sites and talk to some disties.
