You guys have been very, very helpful, and I thank you. I just have a question, or two, okay, maybe three. Well I just want to know, are we supposed to find a place first, then get a loan, or go for a loan, (how much??) then try to find a space to open the salon. Do we need a lawyer or consultant?? Do we do the plans, show them to a contractor, etc, get a price then get a loan. Oh goodness, I just don't know. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again!! |

If that doesn't look good, I'd start looking for available spaces as close to established salons that I could find. If there aren't any, start looking for any available spaces that will accomodate a 10 to 15 bed salon with decent lobby/POS space. Then start looking into funding. Good luck.

Rep Power: 43 | Re: Start - Up Newbies Question I would start with a concept plan first, so that you can discuss your favorite approach (and compare!) and estimate roughly what you need for funding and what you can put in it yourself. Then you can also pinpoint better what kind of place you can afford. With this concept plan go looking for a place and also if you need a loan go to the bank to see what's possible. Good luck! |

The more I read, the more confused I get. It is understood that everyone has an opinion. This guy says "left" and that guy says"no right" Which one is right? The problem is absorbing all of the info available on this site, digesting it and figuring out what is right for me. This site is nice to be able to work all these things out now, rather than later. | |
