Rep Power: 0 | A young gun.... Hello guys and gals, My name's Sean and Im from northern New Jersey. In fear of the skeptics on this site not taking me seriously I was feeling reluctant not to list my age, but truth be told I'm nearly 20 years old. I have a strong background in sales and business management, I've taken multiple courses/classes in marketing, accounting, etc....Im socially responsible, and have the ambition to pour my heart into anything worthwhile. With that said, for some time now (again I realize my age and understand if you guys are skeptical of my intentions and comprehension of the "real world") Ive been looking into business opportunities to start off my business portfolio. In years past I've operated a small cash business for automotive detailing just to get my feet wet and get a feel for the business world. I've been looking into the tanning industry as a possible starting point, and no I dont feel it's "easy" or "work-free" I understand the devotion it takes to be successful in such a cut-throat market and I respect all of you greatly for it. I understand this is not the business to "get rich quick" or a goldmine by any means. Im simply looking to operate smoothly and successfully and to gain the knowledge that goes along with it through the trials and tribulations. Recently, two locations near my home have become available for purchase, both in seperate counties. My question to you is this, "Do you feel that in this day and age that a tanning salon is still a good starting point as a first professional business?" If not please explain to me why, and even if you feel you have a better idea please, I'd love to hear it. Again, please I ask you just to take me seriously, and understand that I have the devotion, drive, and mindset to do what it takes to achieve my goals. Thank you all so much in advance for any help you offer. Yours, Sean White |

PM me for my advice, or any of the members for that matter, or take your chances on an open post. Good luck my friend. -Belvy P.S. Yes. The indoor tanning industry is a very good starting point for a personal business. Mostly because we have all been there and want to try to save people from the misery we have endured in it. Unless of course you're going to compete with me, in which case, I'll feed you all the jacked up advice I can on here! Good luck again! -Belvy

This market is over saturated thats for sure... IN the meantime I would do more research.. the industry is not a bad one to get into and you are young so you can go for it.... Just get all your facts and do not put your eggs in one basket
