Hear is a list of Heavily regulated states. Florida South Carolina North Carolina Mass. Rep Power: 24 | NY is not regulated. Surprisingly! However, it is good practice for a salon in NY to follow and set a standard in case we are going to become regulated. This way, your tanners will be less shocked about the regs. |

Rep Power: 28 | Speaking about NY, I just found the most amazing salon online and can't wait to visit when I go to NYC. It is called City Tans. I had to email the owners and tell them just how much I was impressed with their salon. Sorry for the interruption... NY isn't regulated, but you should run your business as if you were. Just my opinion. |

Rep Power: 24 | Certain COUNTIES in NY are regulated. Those counties being close to Long Island, like Suffolk. However, sbtan and I are in the county of high taxes and therefore only have the health department to answer to if need be. |
