Rep Power: 0 | Anybody do this in a tanning bed? Okay, now that I have you're attention. I have been trying out the competitions beds in the area. I stopped in one salon today which was very nice, decor, new equipment, clean, etc. I tanned in their base bed - an ETS Solaris 442. It was okay, but when the tan was over I raised the canopy and as I sat up I cracked my head on the handle. Man did that hurt! The handle is on the inside and projects inside the bed a couple of inches. I thought I didn't raise the canopy enough. Maybe it's a blonde thing, but I've never tanned in a bed that had the handle on the inside. |

Rep Power: 107 | Re: Anybody do this in a tanning bed? I have driven literally hundreds of miles away from home before to check out beds. Do a search online for salons within an area you are willing to drive to. I think it is kinda fun to take a weekend off to drive around and check out what others are doing. I have even called ahead and spoke to owners and let them know that I would like to come look at their beds. If you pick a city far enough away from your own salon, the owners are usually very nice and understanding to what you are doing. It's just a respect thing for me when it comes to not setting foot into my comps salon. I don't like it when they send their people in my salon snooping, so I just won't stoop to their level and go to check them out. I live in a fairly small town, so we hear all we need to know about them already. You could always check with a disty too if there is a certain bed you are wanting to check out. I have been put in touch with a few salons within the state that had the same beds we were looking at. The disty checks with the salons first of course, but then gives us contact info so we can go look at the beds. It's just an idea. |
