Rep Power: 0 | Seasons Greetings From the UK! Just registered today and thought I'd come and say Hi. I discovered this site last Summer here in the UK as, at the time, I was considering starting up my own Tanning Salon (& came here and did, Research, Research, Research!). :) Anyhow, the reason I'm here IS tanning related and I have a question but.... I'm not sure which Forum to post it in. Also I'm a bit scared of the response/posting as I don't want to look like I've come here to cause trouble, cos I aint!!! - but I'm afraid the topic is burns related. :( Wonder which Forum to post in, its just to glean others opinions really as my 'incident' occurred on Thurs 1st Dec and I'm only just beginning to feel somewhat better. No-one knows whats happened to me, I told folk I had a food allergy rash(except Doc), but it wasn't food allergy related and symptoms have been pretty severe. I also took some photos. Very pretti! (not) - my body has been in a pretty horrendous state! |

Rep Power: 57 | Re: Seasons Greetings From the UK! First, welcome. Just jump right in. So, you burned your butt. Tanning 101, everything in moderation. Let me guess, being from the UK your skin is white and you haven't been in the sun lately. Take it slow and easy. |

Rep Power: 0 | I'm New, Please Be Nice! Clubtan1, thank you for replying. All your assumptions (& self-answering) are incorrect. (Strange how we immediately have pre-conceived notions!). I posted to ask which Forum to put my intended topic in, whilst at the same time giving a VERY brief outline - if as a long-term member of this Forum you have a suggestion as to what Forum it should be in then by all means respond). I'm a long-term and SENSIBLE sunbed user...(20+ years, since I was 15, I'm now 43) - in fact no I'm not sensible, I'm VERY sensible, to the point of paranoia! ALWAYS lavishing care, attention and LOADS of body lotion to my epidermis! - whether or not it has had sun/sunbed exposure. Over those years incidentally I have used sunbeds many times, without problems, mainly due to the care I take. What happened to me recently has never happened before. Pale, mmm I've never heard anyone describe me as pale - that would be for you to decide, I'm not mega-tanned (like the maghony coffee table shade that some seem to favour!). In fact you can check out a couple of images I uploaded in my folio/gallery on here. Also my "butt" (as you refer to it!) was about the only part of me that didn't get burned!! I have actually had a TERRIBLE time this last few weeks, to put it mildly - (still not outta the woods). :( |
