themes for rooms and slogan advice

I am deciding on how I am going to decorate my salon, but I am kind of stuck on ideas. I thought it would be nice to have a different destination for each room, but I am not sure if I want to tie it all in to the name of my store or something else. The name of my store is Solar Eclypse Tanning due to the fact that I live in alaska where it is dark for 6 months out of the year and you have to tan to keep your sanity. So I was thinking maybe a space kind of theme, but not sure what direction to take that in....who knows. Also if anyone can help me think of a great slogan to use for my store that would be a great help too.

Re: themes for rooms and slogan advice

What I did was paint all my rooms cheery bright bold colors and then I just go with that. If someone request a special room they will as for that color of the walls. For example, I have a orange room, red room, Blue room, and green room. They are all decorated differently but I just thought that naming them with sometype of tropical name was a little corney.

I definitley do not want to do the tropical theme! I just want to be a little more of an escape then just another tanning salon.

Re: themes for rooms and slogan advice

Ok I still say a neutral palet is the best.. with contrasting colors. Since I suck at typing here is a post I made a few suggestions a while ago.

http://www.tantalk.com/showthread.php?t=2352849

Now in your case ---after you established your color scheme and contrast colors. I do not have the links but I know there a sites out there that provide nice tasteful scenic wall papers of beaches, florida room, gazebos in a green lush back yard.
pic a few of the rooms add a fountian and wall paper one of the walls in that scenic wallpapers. Do not over do it... If you furnish the room accordingly it will make a nice and lasting impression.

And clients will want to come back and relax . I personally would do those in your upgrade rooms. And do not name the rooms. Believe me your clients will do that ..lol

Re: themes for rooms and slogan advice

great ideas mj I will definitley do that! and you are right, it is not my job to name the rooms, it is my job to make them relaxing and have great equipment.....let the rooms and beds speak for them selves. Since you are so much of a creative brainiac, any suggestions on a slogan?

Oooooooooh, kudos to you!! Tropical is so done, even for Alaska. Solar Eclypse eh? Why not use outerspace as a "theme"? Sunny colours, perhaps pictures and/or murals of the sun. Eclpyses, solar flares, that kinda thing.
