I plan to open my own tanning salon soon.

I'm looking for help as in:
Where's the best place to buy the stuff.....lotions, beds, cleaning supplies, soft ware, etc etc.

I want to start with about 5 beds, and the most affordable but very good lotions.

I plan to increase size and services with time. Eventually getting up to day spa level.

My Opinion:
T.W. TAN 1-800-989-8267 OR NATIONAL TAN SUPPLY 1-800-359-8909-I get the best salon discounts, samples, customer service and fast shipping from these guys!

I think you should stay with pies. Indoor tanning is not for everybody. It is questionnable given the current environment of high energy, tighter regulations at both state and federal level, bad rap from the FDA, American Cancer Society and others, maturity of the industry and over capacity, whether this is a good industry to be in right now. Do your homework first. Talk to everybody. Make sure you are properly capitalized. Are you really filling a need in the marketplace or just another salon with a new gimmick? Don't count on making a killing in this industry. That time is over. You can't rely strictly on tanning any longer, but need diversification. Back-to-back soft years does not engender confidence in this industry any longer. Good luck to you just the same.
