I would appreciate any advice on self-service tanning salons.

I don't know about that...Seems interesting...

I would love to be able to track my tans (number of sessions, duration, days of the week, bed type, etc...) and have the information available to me.

Also, the card reader has a lot of potential. I definitely wish that I could carry a card that was linked to my account that would allow me to make in store purchases and buy bed upgrades without using cash, check or having to whip out a credit card.

I believe self-service tanning is popular in Europe. I am not so sure it would catch on here due to safety and health reasons. There is enough regulation as it is to protect the client, so letting them tan on a do-it-yourself basis would not be very smart. Insurance would skyrocket. Just too risky.
